Ballet classes for an ‘inclusive society’
Meet the ‘Flamingo Chicks’, the ballet that encourage inclusivity and where youngsters of all abilities can enjoy themselves.
They are a volunteer led organisation running classes in Bradford, Bristol, Cardiff, Leeds, London and York.
“We have a really big mix of different disabilities. We've got some children with autism, some with cerebral palsy, some with profound and multiple complex needs,” said teacher Sam.
“It's about creating opportunities that they may not have, previously have had access to and promoting the benefits of an inclusive society,” she added.
