'The Child and the Spells', music by Ravel to a libretto by Sidonie-Gabrielle Collette. A naughty child wrecks his room after he is berated by his mother for not doing his homework. The objects and animals that he has abused come to life and complain about him and start to ignore him. In the second act, outside in the garden, the child binds see a wounded squirrel and binds up his wound. The objects and animals see that there is some good in the child and help him back to the house and his mother.
