NOW That's What I Call Music hits 100th album
Do you remember compilation albums? Some of them have disappeared, but one of them – NOW That’s What I Call Music - has released its 100th edition. There have been three a year released since 1983. They have sold 120 million in the UK, generating a billion pounds in sales. Ex-Radio 1 DJ Mark Goodier has been the voice of the NOW That’s What I Call Music TV adverts for more than 25 years. Melanie Abbott speaks to him about the history of the compilation album.
