You’ll never guess where your Thai ingredients are grown
The success of Thai food compared with the popular offerings from India and China is relatively new to the UK. Now the supermarkets are catching up, so whether you’re on the hunt for lemongrass or holy basil, it is now possible to create a Thai dish at home. When the top-class Thai restaurants source their ingredients they don’t go to the supermarkets, but neither do they head to Thailand. It turns out they go to Dorset! Peter White finds out more.
