It has been labelled "divisive" and "misinformed", but Donald Trump's tweet on South African land reforms has been welcomed by AfriForum, a group that campaigns for the interests of Afrikaners in the country.

The US president tweeted: "I have asked Secretary of State @SecPompeo to closely study the South Africa land and farm seizures and expropriations and the large scale killing of farmers."

It followed a report on Fox News about plans to speed up the pace of land reform.

As the 蜜芽传媒's Milton Nkosi explains, the changes are part of an effort to correct historical injustices which saw black people dispossessed of their land.
