Crisis Hit Argentina Requests IMF Funds

President Macri says the move is designed to restore confidence in the Argentine economy.

Argentina is asking the International Monetary Fund to bring forward a $50bn loan. It's a sign of how bad things have got for President Mauricio Macri - the peso has lost 40% of its value so far this year. Will this restore market confidence?
