The McVegan: why the Big Mac is changing
One of the things that people like about McDonald’s is that the food is exactly the same no matter where you are. Big Mac is a Big Mac, whether you are in Qatar, Moscow or Guilford. But in some parts of the world they’re making changes to the McDonald’s menu. This is to cater for a growing demand for meat-eaters for vegetarian food that looks and tastes like meat. In Finland and Sweden they’re pioneering what they’re calling the McVegan. Winifred Robinson finds out more.
