What was lost in Brazil's museum fire?
A fire has destroyed the National Museum of Brazil in Rio de Janeiro. Most of the natural history and anthropological artefacts have been wrecked. Mark Carnall, from Oxford’s Natural History Museum in the UK, highlights the many roles natural history collections like these have in scientific research.
