Why are more asylum seekers housed in Stoke than the entire South East?
There are more asylum seekers housed on the government’s dispersal scheme in Stoke than the entire South East of England (excluding London).
The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Affairs Select Committee called on the government to "urgently reconsider the operation of the dispersal policy".
Originally this policy, 'dispersal', was about sharing the burden, but over time it's turned into something else.
