Celebrating 50 years since Apollo 8
This week marks 50 years since Frank Borman, William Anders and James Lovell were able to do what no human had done before: to look back on earth and to see close-up the surface of the moon. Apollo 8 became the first manned spacecraft to leave Earth’s orbit, reach the moon and return safely.
