City back to second but Liverpool seven clear at New Year

Jonathan Overend is joined by Stephen Warnock, Matthew Etherington and Shola Ameobi

The team review all the Premier League games from the final weekend of 2018. They dissect Liverpool’s team and discuss their chances of winning the title after ending the year with a seven point advantage over Manchester City. Even though there were victories for City, Liverpool and Chelsea the same could not be said for Tottenham who slip to third in the table. The guys also discuss Paul Pogba’s form as he puts on a stellar display for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United.

But while all the action was happening in and around the top 6, the bottom half of the table provided excitement with wins for Cardiff, Fulham and Burnley. Outside of the Premier League the team delve into the Old Firm derby as Steven Gerrard’s Rangers beat Celtic and with that result the title race continues to heat up in Scotland.
