Navigating the world of sex and relationships for the first time can be tricky for anyone. But for Andrew Wardle, who was born without a penis, his teenage years were a “nightmare”.
Andrew was born with bladder exstrophy, when the skin over the lower abdominal wall does not form properly, exposing the bladder on the outside of the abdomen.
He spoke to 5 Live’s Rory Carson about his experiences growing up – and how his life changed following surgery to fit him with a “bionic penis”.
