Gola: The film that changed me
"It makes me more powerful in the path I have chosen". The Iranian singer Gola shares the story of the artist that changed her. The film "Looking For Oum Kulthum", made by her fellow Iranian visual artist Shirin Neshat, inspired her to overcome the obstacles she faced as a female musician in a male dominated society, and gave her the confidence to express herself fully as an artist.
