Inner emigration: how people avoid taking responsibility
There’s a phrase that people have written about in connection with Conscious Denial, something called Inner Emigration. It’s a term used to describe people who retreat from reality of the world and create a distance from it that allows them not to take responsibility for what’s happening around them. Isabel Hardman looks at new ways of confronting denial.
