Sudan awaits army’s announcement
State media in Sudan say the army is to make an important announcement today, as mass protests against
President Omar al-Bashir's rule have been held across the country for the last four months. Radio broadcasts have been interrupted by marching music. There's been increasing speculation about whether the army will choose to support the protesters who flocked to a sit-in outside the defense ministry compound in Khartoum. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Newsday caught up with a young demonstrator.
