Northern Ireland journalist Lyra McKee shot dead during rioting in Londonderry,
A Northern Ireland journalist has been shot dead during rioting in Londonderry on Good Friday. Lyra McKee was 29. She was shot close to police lines by a lone gunman. The police believe her killers were Dissident Republicans. Father Joe Gormley from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Derry's Creggan district said it was time violent Republicans renounced violence.
