Reuters journalists freed in Myanmar

As two journalists jailed in Myanmar for reporting the Rohingya crisis are freed, a senior UN official tells Newsnight that the country's leader bears some responsibility for the "war crimes" the pair were investigating.

Wa Lone and Kyaw Soe Oo spent more than 500 days in prison.

Their jailing was seen as an assault on press freedom and raised questions about Myanmar's democracy.
Aung San Suu Kyi, Myanmar's de facto leader, has faced international condemnation over her treatment of Rohingya people.

Gabriel Gatehouse reports.
