Afro-Colombian news presenter M谩bel Lara was abused online after she stopped straightening her hair.
The journalist says she feels Colombia is a 鈥渃lassist society鈥� which thinks 鈥渃urly hair is tasteless鈥�.
The first time she appeared on TV without straightening her hair she received online abuse saying she looked ugly and 鈥渧ulgar鈥�.
She told 蜜芽传媒 Minute she made the stand to help inspire young women to feel comfortable in their own skin.
