This year, Goldie Lookin' Chain, EMF and Craig Charles graced the stages - with people travelling from all over Europe to attend.
Mello Festival highlights: Don Letts
Ìý
Don first came to notoriety in the late '70s as the DJ that single-handedly turned a whole generation of punks onto reggae.
Ìý
It was whilst DJing at the first punk club 'The Roxy' in 1977, that Don adopted the punk DIY ethic and began to make his first film 'The Punk Rock Movie'.
Ìý
Shot on Super-8 millimeter film, it is the only documentary on the UK punk scene and features, among many others, The Sex Pistols and The Clash.
Ìý
This documentary led to a period where Don directed more than 300 music videos, for a diverse range of artists, including Bob Marley and Elvis Costello.
Ìý
From the days of Punk Rock to the present, Don has always been drawn towards musical projects.
Ìý
He appeared at Mello Festival, last weekend, at the Severn End Country Estate, in Hanley Castle near Upton.
