
Africa Eye investigates $10b energy scandal in Senegal
A ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ investigation has discovered that energy giant BP has agreed to pay about ten billion dollars to a businessman involved in a suspicious energy deal in Senegal. The royalty figures are based on projections made in April 2017 and reflect circumstances at that time. BP did not dispute the $10 billion figure prior to broadcast, but has subsequently said it is wholly inaccurate and exaggerated.
