75th Anniversary of D-Day - A British veteran's story
PM is marking the 75th anniversary of D-Day, June 6th 1944, by hearing experiences of the Normandy landings.
At the start of Operation Overlord, the Allies landed over 156,00 troops in Normandy. Within the next 10 days, half a million troops were ashore and amongst them was 18-year-old tank driver, John Graves.
John is now 93, and will be in France to mark the D-Day anniversary. Before he went, he shared his memories with PM’s Emma Jane Kirby.
