Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore passes on
CEO of Kenya’s most profitable company, Safaricom, passes away at 61.
The Guyanese-born British citizen took a medical leave for treatment for cancer in October 2017 and returned in July 2018.
Bob Collymore took over from Michael Joseph in November 2010 and was head of East Africa’s biggest telco services provider Safaricom. It posted profits of $619.3m in its most recent financial year.
He spoke with ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Money Daily presenter Maya Hayakawa last shortly after Safaricom was named Africa’s Best Employer by Forbes.
