Redditch's Shane Gunnell, AKA RAB Artist, has been making music for the last decade and it's now his full time career.

Having worked with producers from all over the world, RAB Artist has been featured in the papers and on national radio.

He says: "When I was younger, I used to write maybe two verses a day - and learn them. I've got boxes and boxes and boxes; I've got over a million lyrics."

But it hasn't been an easy journey for Shane; two of his brothers and his step dad died of heart attacks - and he says every one of his lyrics means something personal to him, citing their loss as a huge influence on his continued musical journey.

When he appeared at the Malvern Cube for our recording session, he'd only just returned from a 30-location video shoot in Cornwall: "The visuals are insane!" - so keep watching out for his music videos online.

"An incredible vocal performance from one of the greatest rappers in the Midlands right now!” - Andrew Marston.

Lakefest Highlights: Kaiser Chiefs

Lakefest returned to Eastnor Castle Deer Park, last weekend, and - in its biggest ever year -featured Kaiser Chiefs, Happy Mondays, The Pigeon Detectives, James and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

ѿý Hereford & Worcester had a tent at the festival, showcasing local talent from Herefordshire & Worcestershire.

Over these next few weeks, we'll be hearing interviews with the headliners with their tops for new musicians - and, this week, we hear from the Kaiser Chiefs.

After selling more than a million records,Ricky Wilson become a coach on The Voice - and is now a patron of Kidderminster-based MAS Records.

ѿý Music Introducing in Malvern

This month's live sessions come the Malvern Cube, which has undergone a huge transformation since last time we visited in 2013.

The Albert Road North venue is run by volunteers 'for the community, by the community'.

In 2012 the Cube was saved from closure by local people.

It’s now a vibrant and welcoming centre with a busy cafe at its heart, hosting arts and entertainment, as well as being home to a thriving programme for young people and more than 30 community groups who offer a huge range of activities.

Musicians' Masterclass

Learning an instrument, joining a band, writing songs then playing a gig - it's all a passion.

But what happens when your passion gains traction and suddenly it's controlling you? How do you deal with fame and success, audience expectation and being talked about by people you've never met?

On the couch, this week, is chart-topper Tom Grennan, his manager Josh Dawkins and Mercury Music Prize nominee SOAK.

ѿý Music Introducing at the Worcester Music Festival

Our next recording session takes place on Sunday, 15 September at Annie's, in Worcester, as part of the Worcester Music Festival.

Annie's Burger Shack is one of the newest live music venues in the city, having already hosted 30 awesome gigs since it opened earlier this year.

The Worcester Music Festival was first staged in 2008 by Chris Bennion, who produces Worcestershire Sauce.

He set up a website called NotJustSauce - aiming to put Worcester on the map musically.

Taking place in multiple venues across the city, from pubs, clubs, restaurants and cafes to historic buildings, river cruisers, record shops, on the streets and even in breweries, the festival is absolutely free to attend with hundreds of gigs to choose from from some of the best, new and emerging artists in the UK.

You can find Annie's in The Courtyard pub on St Nicholas Street.
