Can giant balloons bring wi-fi to remote places?
Gareth and Bill visited Project Loon’s ground station in Nairobi to find out more from Scott Coriell - its head of global communications. The project aims to provide internet connectivity to remote areas using high-altitude, solar-powered balloons. The hope is these will replace the need for permanent tower infrastructures in places where it isn’t practical or affordable.
