‘I didn’t fit the profile of a heart attack victim’
Esther had a heart attack in July 2017 aged 45. She had been on a business trip to the US and had ignored symptoms throughout her trip.
The former ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ producer told 5 Live’s Rachel Burden that she never felt chest pains, but experienced shortness of breath and sweating.
The British Heart Foundation has said that some women who suffer heart attacks are dying needlessly because they fail to recognise their symptoms and receive poorer care than men.
