The craft beers so on message they might cause harm
Quite a lot of craft beers and IPAs are packaged in brightly-coloured, cartoon-style, vibrant designs. Are they attracting the wrong audience? Shari Vahl looks at a new code of conduct published by the Portman Group - the body that promotes responsible drinking, funded by the industry. It says drinks-manufacturers must ensure packaging and promotional materials don't cause harm or offence. They are also being told they have an obligation to protect vulnerable people - which could include children. Are the new rules likely to make a difference?
