The Berlin Wall and its fall have been well documented, but the Iron Curtain that divided Europe and the world, ran from the Barents Sea in the north to the Black Sea in the south. On these remote frontiers of the Cold War, another drama unfolded - a great exodus followed the fall of the Iron Curtain. Thirty years later, the author Kapka Kassabova, returns to the borders of her native Bulgaria to find out who left and who has stayed behind.
