‘An exciting challenge’: Sonny Bill Williams on Toronto move
Sonny Bill Williams has returned to rugby league after signing for Super League newcomers Toronto Wolfpack on a two-year deal. The New Zealander has had a glittering career across both rugby codes, including winning two Rugby Union World Cups with the All Blacks and two NRL premierships in rugby league.
Speaking to 5 Live’s Tony Livesey, he says he’s excited by the prospect of retuning to rugby league after five years away:
“It’s not a daunting feeling coming back into rugby league, it’s an exciting one.â€
Asked about what he feels his legacy will be when he retires, Williams says: “I’m just a guy out there that’s done his best, that was authentic and kept it real, but then also liked to take on challenges.â€
