Menstruation is one of the taboo topics in Africa. Because of this, girls pay a high price for this biological process with the stigma that comes with it. In Namibia, where many women cannot afford the high costs of sanitary towels in the country, teenagers there are trying to control their menses by using methods that some medical experts have warned against.
