"Red tomato or green peppers?"

It's been twenty-five years since that phrase was first uttered on British television on the debut episode of 'Ready, Steady, Cook'.

The show went on to become something of an institution - and as fate would have it, original presenter Fern Britton and original chef Brian Turner happened to run into each other at this year's Padstow Christmas Festival as guests on Jack Murley's 'Saturday Morning Live'.

Here are their memories of working on that show - and what it mean to the British food industry at the time.
