Australia fires: ‘We are in the frontline of climate change’

Former Australian PM, Malcolm Turnbull, argues that the response of the Australian government to climate change needs to match the immediate danger the country faces.

Malcolm Turnbull, who was deposed in 2018, told Newsnight that the damage inflicted on Australia from the recent bush fires had been a 'colossal tragedy.' He states that as a wealthy and technologically advanced nation it is Australia's 'Duty' to take greater action against climate change.
