Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham has told 蜜芽传媒 Radio 5 Live that he feels the prime minister鈥檚 changes to the lockdown guidelines have come 鈥檛oo soon鈥� for the North West of England.

Boris Johnson announced a "conditional plan" to begin lifting England's coronavirus lockdown on Sunday.

Speaking to 5 Live Breakfast, Mr Burnham said: "The prime minister's statement comes too soon for us, it doesn't feel as though it was driven by what was happening in the North West.鈥�

He said there was an imbalance in regional representation at the government's Cobra meetings.
