Former Liverpool and England midfielder John Barnes says he thinks the league should be restarted 鈥渨hen we鈥檙e able to safely play again鈥�.

Speaking to 5 Live鈥檚 Clare McDonnell, the Liverpool legend said the season 鈥渋sn鈥檛 like Christmas Day has to be December 25th鈥� the football season doesn鈥檛 have to be August to May, you can actually adjust鈥�.

When asked if Liverpool should be given the league, John said 鈥渘ot if teams aren鈥檛 going to be called to be relegated, no."
