How to tackle lockdown emotions with Dr Sheila Redfern
Jonathan and Debs ask an adolescent psychologist her tips for coping with uncertainty
Frazzled parents Jonathan Overend (ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 5 Live) and Deborah James (You, Me and the Big C) hear from listeners Nadia and Claire. Nadia is worried her 11 year-old son’s isolation has made him withdraw, while Claire is trying to get her daughter to open up about her worries. They are joined by Bitesize expert Dr. Sheila Redfern, a child and adolescent psychologist treating young people affected by lockdown. She gives some practical advice for parents on finding the right time to talk, taking your own emotional temperature and learning to accept a state of uncertainty.
