Conservative MP Andrea Leadsom has said she "would like to see鈥� Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick explain his controversial planning decision.

Mr Jenrick has been facing calls from the opposition to release further details about his decision to grant planning permission to a developer who later gave money to the Tory Party.

Speaking to 5 Live鈥檚 Emma Barnett, Ms Leadsom said: "The reality is that so often there is a simple explanation for something, and if there isn鈥檛 then so be it. But I would like to see him given the chance to properly explain what鈥檚 happened here."
