Connecting the generations
Now we’ve all had to find new ways to communicate with our loved ones throughout the lockdown from socially distanced chats on the drive to FaceTime and Zoom calls.
But now restrictions are being lifted its a hard decision for many people who are over 70 and in the most “at risk” bracket...do you want to join someone’s bubble and hug your grandchildren again or are you scared to get too close still?
It seems there may be many “virtual grandparents” for a little longer yet so how do you make that work?
Jessica Silver and Nancy Farmer are the co-founders of ElWell which offers help to those caring for elderly relatives. Jessica spoke to Snelly on the Breakfast Show.
