Former GB athlete Jimmy Watkins on the creation of the 'Running Punks' community
Imagine being a GB athlete - and then deciding running isn’t for you.
Imagine then turning to music and touring the world - but deciding that you’ve made a mistake.
Well, that’s what Jimmy Watkins has done.
Jimmy isn’t your traditional kind of runner. He has a more “punk rock approach” to running. Along with his friend Rhodri, he realised that there must be more people like them out there – who don’t fit into the traditional running club scene but would benefit from what running offers the most.
And so the Running Punks community was born!
