Two former speechwriters describe how candidates might prepare for the first Presidential debate and why people are going to tune in to see Donald Trump and Joe Biden sharing a stage

Mary Kate Cary, former speechwriter for President George Bush Sr told 5 Live presenter Colin Murray that most important thing is to be “nimble" with responses.

While Sarada Peri who worked with President Barack Obama said even though Donald Trump and Joe Biden are "known quantities” people will tune in for the “unpredictable”.
