Justin Hawkins, of The Darkness has paid tribute to legendary guitar player Eddie Van Halen following his death at the age of 65.

Hawkins said the co-founder of rock band Van Halen was 鈥渢he one who made guitars do stuff at 200 miles an hour without suddenly sounding like a spaceship taking off鈥�.
