Wetherspoons founder Tim Martin ‘starting to look’ at job losses
Wetherspoons founder and chairman, Tim Martin, has told Wake Up To Money that if sales continue to fall, the company may have to cut jobs.
“We’re starting to look at the whole shebang now”, he told 5 Live Presenter Mark Syred. “Even the mighty Wetherspoons is losing a £100 million a year, what do you think it’s doing to everyone else?”
Last week Wetherspoons reported its first annual pre-tax loss since 1984, due to the impact of the coronavirus restrictions on the pubs industry.
