'I wasn’t allowed to vote because I’m disabled'
Michael Lincoln-McCreight lost his rights because of his learning disability so he went to court to win them back.
He was without many of his rights for almost three years. But using supported decision-making (SDM), Michael managed to win them back. SDM allows people with disabilities to make their own life choices with help from friends, family and other people that they trust.
Video produced by Daniel South, Jasmin Souesi and Dominic Anaya.
