Last November, Ace Ambrose gave up her job in a cafe to focus on a career as a musician, but everything stopped in March when lockdown kicked in.

Speaking to 蜜芽传媒 Radio 5 Live's Your Work Your Money advice podcast, she said: "The pandemic hit and so I鈥檝e basically lost my entire source of income...I live at home with my parents so luckily I鈥檝e got some kind of support.

"I鈥檓 also chronically ill so I don鈥檛 have many options in terms of 'proper jobs' that I can do, so music was the thing that was flexible that allowed me to work around my conditions."

She adds: "What will the government do specifically to help the artists as well as the venues?鈥�
