'Anti-racism work is not glamorous'

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 5 Live hosted a conversation between two women from different generations and different racial heritages to see how people could come together to fight racism.

Dominique Walker is Vice Chair of the Anthony Walker Foundation and she lectures at the school of justice at Liverpool John Moores University.

Her brother Anthony was murdered in a racist attack in Huyton on Merseyside in 2005 when he was 18. Since then, Dominque has dedicated her life to anti-racism campaigning.

Sophie is a 17-year-old listener who called 5 Live to say she has been awakened to the idea of racial inequality and injustice and wanted to learn more.

She told Dominique: “I live in such a white area. I live in such a place where we don’t really see [racism]. I’ve had so many conversations with other white people about it but there’s only so much we can achieve through that.â€
