Hollywood star Bryce Dallas Howard, who has directed two episodes of The Mandalorian, told Nihal Arthanayake that fatherhood is a central theme of the hit Disney+ series.

The Jurassic World actress said that "as a parent I always am clocking like, how is that character doing that thing, like where are the kids?" and explains why, when it was her turn to helm episodes, she always wanted the audience to know where Baby Yoda was.

Bryce, who is the daughter of the Oscar-winning director Ron Howard, said she was directing a documentary called 'Dads' at the same time as she worked on the Mandalorian and she said she felt they were both about the same thing - fatherhood.
