Update: Will the Olympics go ahead?
Time is running out for a decision to be made on whether to go ahead or cancel the games.
Officially the games are going ahead in Japan, but on Monday the government said it would extend the state of emergency covering Tokyo and other regions struggling to contain coronavirus outbreaks by one month. So there is widespread doubt that the Games will go ahead and Simon Chadwick, Professor of Eurasian Sport at EM-Lyon business school gives us his view.
