Why I campaigned for regulation on filters
Makeup artist Sasha Pallari has successfully fronted a campaign to have social media filters banned in advertisement posts.
The Advertising Standards Authority has ruled filters should not be applied to social media adverts if they exaggerate the effect of the product in response to Sasha’s #filterdrop campaign.
Speaking to 5 Live’s Adrian Chiles, Sasha said the aim of the campaign was to help stop people seeing “perfect, flawless, filtered skin” in social media advertising posts and thinking their own skin is “never going to be good enough.”
