'I can't let go until I've found her. Or at least just been able to say that last goodbye.'

Marie McCourt's daughter Helen was murdered in February 1988.

Her killer was convicted on overwhelming forensic evidence, but refused to reveal the location of her body.

Marie, now 77, has never given up on finding her.

Helen's Law, which came into effect at the beginning of 2021, makes it a legal requirement for the Parole Board to take into account a killer's failure to disclose the location of their victim's remains when considering them for release.

However, Marie was not able to prevent the release of Helen's murderer in 2020, after he had served 31 years.
