‘It's been a challenge having to relearn my disability throughout the pandemic’

Ellen, 32, from Essex was diagnosed with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis in 2015.

Describing her experience as a "rollercoaster", Ellen told Nicky Campbell about the challenges she's faced over the past year as she has adapted to virtual doctors appointments and working from home.

She said: "It's been a really challenging time to navigate… and that extra layer added to it has been really difficult for me and other people living with conditions like myself".

Typically, Ellen said she would have a specialist doctors' appointment every six months, but now she says they are more accessible because she is doing those from home on her laptop.

"I was almost excited to get my bloods done yesterday because I got to see my nurse face to face," she added.
