Maite Alberdi: Lessons learnt making The Mole Agent
In the Chilean documentary The Mole Agent, 85-year-old Sergio goes undercover in a retirement home to discover if his client’s mother is being mistreated by staff. What begins as a spy caper gradually becomes a moving meditation on ageing and loneliness.
Director Maite Alberdi tells us the four lessons she took from making the film, including why directing a documentary is like improvising jazz music.
