'Come back and tell our audience when you鈥檝e got a social care plan'

Labour鈥檚 Shadow Social Care Minister Liz Kendall said she wants the government to treat social care reform as an 鈥渆conomic priority鈥� as important as fixing the roads and the railways.

The party wants a 10-year investment plan to make the UK the best country to grow old in.

But where would the money come from? 蜜芽传媒 Radio 5 Live presenter Rachel Burden said to Ms Kendall: 鈥淚 do genuinely find this exasperating. I thought, in coming on today, that you would have an answer 鈥� how do we fund social care?鈥�

Ms Kendall replied: "The government is in power now and it鈥檚 for them to bring forward those reforms."
